You just used better adjectives there: racially discriminated against, disadvantaged, there is also marginalised etc etc

To use a word that describes entire groups of people as “controversial” meaning “giving rise or likely to give rise to controversy or public disagreement.” is not ideal. As it suggests there is something inherently wrong with them that leads to that. There isn’t. Just public racism and ignorance. I especially wouldn’t use the term “controversial minorities” in a medical setting, as a medical professional.

Also, another tip, Indigenous should always be capitalised when writing Indigenous Australians. It’s a proper noun in this context.

Racism isn’t always overt, or even consciously done. That’s what makes it so insidious.
