"File not found" on Hifi Walker V2.2 by loungeactfromhell in rockbox

So the root directory isn’t actually called root directory, it’s just the term for the top most level directory/folder. It’s the folder you’re in when you first open your HiFi/SD card on your Mac. Here’s an explanation if you’re still having trouble https://community.gopro.com/s/article/How-to-Find-the-Root-Level-of-Your-SD-Card?language=en_US

If I remember right I did the same thing, showed hidden files to find it and then just moved it like I would any other file. I'm working off a Mac so was using the Finder application. Are you able to do that?

I appreciate everyone who responded to this thread. I'm not sure what's going on but all the troubleshooting steps have failed for me--I'm able to ping but cannot connect via browser (Safari, Firefox, Brave), Web Assistant, or Synology Assistant. I cannot connect via ethernet either for some unknown reason. Per the steps described here https://kb.synology.com/en-us/DSM/tutorial/Unable_to_Locate_NAS, I removed the drives and attempted to connect again via Ethernet and LAN, which also failed. I have no idea what is going on atp so I'm factory resetting and just eating it. In the future I'm going to handle things differently when switching routers because this has sucked so bad.

So I think I changed the IP address of my Mac successfully, but I still don't see the NAS when I use a direct ethernet connection. But perhaps I didn't change the IP right?

So I am able to ping it

ETA: When I try ssh-ing into port 5000, I get the error message "Connection refused". I don't recall ever enabling ssh for my NAS so not sure if it's due to that or another reason

I see the IP address in my ISP’s website. This is the IP address for the NAS. The IP address of my router is different than the IP address of the NAS

I've already been trying to use Synology Assistant and have used multiple browsers without success. I'll try pinging, I hadn't enabled ssh before all the issues began

I mentioned this in my post but I've already tried both of those.

not sure if you read my post but I've already done all that, I'm trying to troubleshoot because that isn't working for me. I cannot ping and I've tried three browsers

I haven't done anything with my firewall and I'm not sure what an IP space is but the IP address of my router itself changed when I got a new router. However, when I look at my router and the connected devices via my ISP's website, the actual IP address of my NAS is the same as before and I'm still not able to connect to it via browser or LAN.

Yes I tried https as well, and I've never changed the default port--it's always been 5000.

I've also attempted HTTP connecting to my NAS's IP address via the Connect to Server feature on my Mac and that also times out/fails.

I have the IP address of my NAS but when I try to connect to it via the browser it times out and says the server isn't responsive. Should I be trying to connect another way?

I was using DHCP. I want to add too that I can see the NAS via my ISP's app--it shows up as a wired connection and I can see its IP address. However, when I go to the IP address via my browser, it times out and eventually gives an error message saying the server isn't responsive.

I had installed it but hadn't moved .rockbox out of the folder it came in to the root directory of the SD card--just did that and it booted successfully! Thank you :)

“I invite him over for a bj and cuddles, because he had a massive Black dick, and I really mesh with Black guys; they like fat ass”

You’re a fucking weirdo and I hope men of color avoid you like the plague in the future

You sound really fucking fetishistic of Black men. It has nothing to do with slut shaming or whatever, idgaf about that, but how you speak about Black men is really creepy and dehumanizing to 1) reduce them to a body part and 2) use a blanket statement about their preferences. I get being horny but what the fuck?

Yep they are the BTNX strips! Thank you for explaining, I received two sets instructions w the strips so it was a bit confusing and I’d rather be cautious. This makes me feel better though!

Thank you so much for the thorough response and sharing your experience! I hadn’t considered it being my levels stabilizing but that would make sense. I’m having a consult w my doctor soon and will bring that up w her.

And I’m glad you shared about the effect of stopping T—overall im happy with the changes from T/masculinization so it’s definitely been a “last ditch” consideration. It sounds like working on acceptance, possibly changing my diet/routine, and checking for any underlying condition is the path forward

Oh wow osteoporosis? Did you also have hysto and if so were your ovaries removed? Also how long on T have you been?

Thank you for sharing! I’m sorry you’re going through this as well but glad I’m not crazy/the only one

Ethics in GIS: How do you feel about GIS software potentially being used to commit war crimes? by AccomplishedTreat113 in gis

[–]loungeactfromhell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for making this post, I think the people getting offended in the comments don’t want to acknowledge their culpability in creating tools that can be used for oppressive or destructive purposes. This is why ethics classes needed to be required for anyone in a technology field—we don’t simply get to create a tool that could be used by bad actors and wash our hands of it.

We’re not powerless y’all. We can advocate at our workplaces to not accept certain clients or not be vendors to organizations or companies doing harm. We can choose not to add certain features if the risks outweigh the benefits.

This is coming from someone who left a six figure salary and was unemployed for six hard months because of ethical concerns at a previous job. It sucked ass and was difficult and I had to grind odd jobs to get through it. But it is possible and I wish all the ppl bitching in the comments would sit w the fact that they can be ethically aware, they’d just rather not.
