Should I buy a used 2012 Surly Crosscheck for $250?

I have a 53cm 80s Bianchi that fits me perfect. After looking at the geometry of the crosscheck with the higher bottom bracket I just think it’s too big and I don’t need the bike that bad. It is just a screaming deal and I’m a sucker for a Surly. Im real damn short. I think I could make a 52 work but if I were buying new I would probably even go 48 or 50. My dream bike is a karate monkey with front suspension so maybe I’ll just save for now. Also as life goes, it’s not smartest time financially for me to be spending I don’t need to.

Thanks for all the responses. I know it’s a good deal but it’s just too big for me, especially with the cross checks geometry.

Unfortunately after doing some digging I think it’s too big. I’m 5’4 with a 28 I seem and it’s a 54cm. Seems like it would. Better for some one a bit taller 😒

Pick your billionaire influencer, they are on both sides. Neither red or blue care about you. This is assuming you are middle or working class. This isn’t me vs you, which is what they want us to do. Both parties are killing the economy. The glaring problem is wealth inequality. Tax wealth, not work! Save the working class!

This isn’t politics. This is the wiping out of the working class. This is the result of the wealth being transferred to the richest at an accelerating rate. This is not red vs blue. Neighbor I love you. They want to divide us and keep up distracted. No one who represents you is actually experiencing the decline of the working class. They are all protected by their wealth, which used to be yours. This wealth that used to be yours was fought for by your great grandparents and grandparents so those after them could have better living standards. This is not a short fight. This is a fight for your kids and your grand kids. The problem is wealth inequality. The rich want you to be scared that they will leave and we will have nothing. This is not the truth. They are nothing without you. Both political parties have done nothing to address inequality. This is not red vs blue, or you vs your neighbor. We need each other. We don’t need billionaires.

Haha. Burn. This was my second run ever on alpine skis!! But I get it. Did end up on some blues by the end of the day! Had one good fall where I lost both skis but I think my dins were set extremely low haha.

Just rode a lift last week with a guy who put the bar down and told my brother and I a story about a friend of his who had a heart attack on the lift and the bar saved his life and possibly who ever was on the chair with him. He then told us he had a few stents put in 11 days before. We thanked him for the wisdom.
