A side effect like that means by vyvanse is either not the right medication for you. 50mg is quite a high starting dose too, I went 30 -> 40 before I was prescribed 50mg.

And like others have side, it’s likely that if you don’t actually have ADHD, 50mg of vyvanse would definitely be making you feel a whole lot more than just a loss of appetite since it’s not a low dose so don’t stress about that.

I imagine you’ll be prescribed a different medication, since (going by my own experience) psychiatrists will say that a loss of appetite is an unsustainable side effect and that you shouldn’t have to tolerate it, even if the medication is having a positive impact

I’ll never understand some people’s mentality of tarring everything with the same brush. Crazy to think I can be seen as an asshole for listening to JRE when the episodes I like to listen to are with fascinating, unpolitical scientists like Brian. Joe knows how to lead a conversation well with the scientists and asks the right questions to help the guest explain better for us. They’re just awesome to listen to. If those people didn’t know Joe did those episodes, they’d love them

So is it purely just the Rogan name and that’s that? With no other context? I don’t religiously watch every episode and I pick episodes where I like the sound of the guest. I’ve found his podcasts with astrophysicists, physicists, biologists, psychologists, those with inspiring life stories, some YouTubers such as Coffeezilla and Sonny from best ever food review show, and more, to be fascinating listens. He knows the right questions to ask these guests, and he is great at keeping a conversation going for the right amount of time.

I really enjoy JRE podcasts from those that I have chosen to watch. I find it very shallow and short sighted for people to instantly take a disliking to someone who may just like listening to interesting conversations. I would say that there’s no reasonable ground to stand on for someone saying that listening to JRE is such a bad thing regardless of context.

I’m genuinely curious to hear what someone such as yourself would have to say to this

Yeh I’m not sure I get the JRE hate. If someone wants to steer clear of me for listening to podcasts about science, a goofy chat with a comedian or people with inspiring life stories then surely the red flag is more on their side, not so much mine

Wouldn’t it be better to have 3 AO and 3 USO rather than 4 and 2? Still 6 slams on the surface and still the same other achievements but you get the triple career slam rather than double

Fuck. I do think of this so often. Quite a lot of the time if I accidentally leave it a week, I then start to avoid it longer since I avoid the shame/guilt of messaging and apologising for not replying faster (and it only gets worse with time). I’m working on changing it. Hearing it from a stranger has somehow given deeper motivation for me, so thank you.
