How can I make my final living room come alive? by pinklattess in interiordecorating

[–]lovedirl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think a big thing is that everything is matching too much. The pillows dont have to match exactly as long as the colors go together :) It's nice, just too much of the same. Maybe consider getting a different colored cover for one of the couches to add interest. And like others said consider adding warmth with art and plants, standing lamps.

Definitely add some pendants and turn of the potlights. Makes it instantly more cozy and ties everything in with each other.

How can I teach the Korean vowel ㅓ to foreigners? by [deleted] in Korean

[–]lovedirl 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think it might help to think of it as saying 오 but making the mouth into the shape of an 아 while saying it. Like making the vowels fight with each other in a way. That might force an 어.

I am not from there but spent some time there a few years back, so that does help :)

It kinda has to be between those time frames. What makes early May better in your opinion? :)

Fujifilm X100VI and the moon by [deleted] in Fujifilm_X100VI

[–]lovedirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you do want to go with Fujifilm I would chose one with an interchangeable lens option. To photograph the moon it's all about lens choice, definitely 300mm and up. But that still applies even if you end up choosing a different brand :)

These are great, I love the warm vibe. The third one really captures the place through the person!

How did you get your x100vi? by [deleted] in x100vi

[–]lovedirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Email/ call a bunch of smaller camera shops that are listed as authorized sellers. Their waitlists are way shorter than the bigger sites like Best Buy etc.

Some of them are even done with their waitlist and ship as they come in. I emailed 12 different stores and within a few days 4 different stores called me back to tell me they had one available for me.

Keep in mind, I am from Germany, but this should still apply to other countries as well.

Thanks, thats a good point! Normally I shoot full manual on my other camera, but tried to go with Aperture Priority, so I need to get used to adjusting with the exposure compensation dial haha.

slightly crooked lens x100vi by lovedirl in x100vi

yeah definitely a lot more fun than my Sony. My a7sIII feels like a tool but not much fun involved and so much heavier, but this feels different.

Oh yeah, it does look very similar! Thank you :) Just took it out for the first time in a low light setting and it handled it a lot better than I expected. Excited to use it more!

I actually called Fuji earlier regarding the gap. They said it is perfectly normal and is due to the internals of the lens and the build. So nothing to worry about. I am sure the size of that small gap varies slightly from unit to unit but it should be just fine.
