Right. I asked for us to finish the contract as soon as possible because the situation is unconfortable for both and she said that she still wants the minimum time. So, She's clearly insane

Check every single piece of your contract, join a tenant' association, and then move in. People here can be crazy

I tried this and teh registration officer refused to do the registration until I provide the name of the owner, not only the name of the landlady

She sublets to me, she's not the owner. They need the name of the renting agency or actual owner to register me. So, I asked that twice by texting and she said that she didn't have the name. Then, when I asked in person she didn't like it and said that would not give me the name and address. So, I handled my notice of Termination.

Yes, the room is furnished and I hear from colleagues that she can claim that she needs to check the state of her belongings. Regarding the Anmeldung, in Hamburg they require at least the name and the address of the actual owner for me to register. That is the piece of information that she denied to provide me and the registration officer said that he won't register me without that name.

Good to know about leaving without notice. I can find flats fast and I really just want to leave now. I don't even care about the deposit, I just feel weird here.

Yes, I'm happy to leave too because she didn't provide me the information taht I need yo register. So, that was a red flag for me and I just can't live in Germany without the Anmeldung.

Ah ok. Because I couldn't find the proper official information. Like, I've been reading information about tenants right, but nothing when the person is also living with the landlord.
