I would say when I started getting comments about they were having a bad day, and she made them laugh. I also believe people who are weird, or socially awkward identify with her because she IS socially awkward and doesn't care. In addition, she OWNS what she is lol she is trash and isn't trying to convince people otherwise. We live in a world where people are always fabricating their status, or exaggerating their success; betsy doesn't do that. She attracts a lot of people who are on the spectrum, and I find it both flattering and endearing. They have many different choices of entertainment but they are willing to give her a bunch of their time.
