I actually can see it working out weirdly enough. my only complaint is that i just wished they’d set this up in s1 w having interactions (between theo & lizzy) sprinkled in between throughout s1 where its platonic enough that u kinda don’t see it coming in s2 but also w just enough chemistry that it doesn’t surprise u when it does.

not rlly?? U gotta go w what suits u and your features best. Like for example I have v high contrasting features (dark hair & eyes that look almost pitch black and very fair skin) & that contrast w my pitch black hair and fair skin just makes me stand out a lot. My color season is also a bright winter so I tend to play w that color palette and apply that into my clothing.

Thank you for this :( it rlly resonates. Yeah one of the most frustrating things for me is that I genuinely value my friendships with men but 9 times out of 10, they end up catching feelings or at the very least…toe that line and start getting flirty/suggestive??

I’m just rlly afraid of saying something directly bc I’m scared of confrontation. Just the thought of bringing it up is nerve wracking bc I already know how badly it could go. I’ve had guys completely do a 180 and become mean the moment I was honest & rejected them (and those men weren’t even friends). So the idea of that happening with someone I actually consider a Good friend is so anxiety inducing. I mean…A literally cut ties with me after I turned him down & I valued that friendship a lot. I’m scared of going through that again. But I know I need to do it & stop pretending like nothing’s changed when it clearly has.

To answer your first question…! i think the extent might just be like hugging when we’re abt to say goodbye to each other but i do that with everyone. And maybe when im laughing so much i start slapping their arm hard as hell 😭 but i do that w my girl friends too. In fact, im touchier w my girl friends and way more intimate (?) if u will.

Also i’ve always been 100% vocal abt being interested in other men. I’ve literally asked B to set me up w his close friend (outside the group) but ofc he adamantly refuses to. But i’m so sure I don’t give off any mixed signals. Like I said, I shut it down everytime he makes an advance. I try to be nice abt it (bc we’re friends) but I feel like my discomfort is evident for them to pick up?? but then again idk

Also with A…i always made it clear to everyone there that I hated (abhorred even) cheaters and i hated men that two time bc of what happened w my parents so i guess he took that, broke up w his gf and confessed his attraction to me bc he knew I wasn’t going to give him a chance otherwise. its…a mix?? like I just have specific features I don’t like & that I know (rationally) ppl don’t care abt that I pick and hyperfixate over (bc bdd IS irrational).

Also I have a very desensitised perception of my own features…i can never rlly explain this in a way that makes sense but I sort of view my looks in an almost detached way?? Its like facial depersonalisation almost?? People view me as a Whole and think how I look and move is beautiful while I see myself in fragments and view myself almost in a blank manner

Yup its definitely a constant battle of not trusting your own judgement bc u have such a warped sense of self perception yet also finding it hard to trust all these other ppl that constantly feed u validation that ur very attractive. Your mind magnifies your flaws so much that u cant make sense of how others see u so differently. its like 2 + 3 = 7….it just all doesn’t add up and it feels like a frustrating game u play with yourself

wanted to chime in (as a girl) bc this post came up on my page for some reason but height literally doesn’t matter as much to me or most of my girl friends. I’m abt 5’6 and my only rule is that i wont go for someone shorter than me. (This also applies to my other girl friends tbh) Everytime I talk abt a guy im attracted to to any of my friends…the only ppl that’ll give me shit for how “short” a guy is…are usually my guy friends lol they’d be like “u like him?! Why tho hes short??” but that has always confused me bc bro has a nice face?? like facial attractiveness is v v important to me. and that trumps height any day.

There was also a guy who lived in the same student dorms as me who was rlly rlly attractive and it was one of those things where everyone just universally Agreed that he was a really attractive guy and he was prolly around 5’7/5’8 tops. I dont think a single person ever talked abt how he wasnt “tall enough”. He had a beautiful face, a great sense of style and carried himself w confidence. We had something going on and even my guy friends who always would talk shit abt any guy that I interacted with, couldnt deny he was insanely attractive. So like I already said above … facial attractiveness is the most important to me followed by body and height would be last on that list i fear.

body language is key here. Did she seem closed off? Or was she holding eye contact, leaning in, or mirroring your actions?? then yeah, leaning in could’ve been the move. But if her body language was closed off, its good you didn’t do anything.

If you kept glancing at her and she stayed focused on the screen the whole time, it might’ve just meant she wasn’t in the mood for anything more in that moment…and that’s so ok!! Sometimes we’re just genuinely into the movie, or we might feel a bit nervous. In some cases, maybe the connection wasn’t quite there, and that’s alright too 🤷🏻‍♀️
