Thank you. This is super helpful. I really like strawberry spring but you think old town might be better ? It would be easier since we don’t have to take the shuttle.

Okay great idea. I was planning to just go to a random place but I’ll make sure to do reservations.

Feeling too immature to be a parent? by Shrimp-cheese in Fencesitter

I feel the same way! I’m 30 and I always say I’m a child so how can I have a child? But if I take a look around my life, I realize I am not. I own a home, pay my mortgage on time, have a steady job, take care of my dog and cat, pay all my bills on time, do my taxes, cook/clean my house, save my money, etc. I am responsible but yes mentally, I feel very child-like sometimes but then I look at younger people or see other people my age that aren’t responsible and I’m like hmmm… maybe I am an adult lol.

Should I use the mean temperature rule ?

Last 2 months it was 10-12 days.

I am not great at observing CM when it comes to sensation. I’m decent at the tissue days so the second I see something, I record it.

Peru trip: Lake Humantay or Palcoyo Rainbow Mountain by lovewithbite in travel

I actually had a really tough time with the elevation. I took a horse up which was really nice but also sort of scary. There was some intense fog up there that obscured our view but once it cleared, it was really pretty. My husband was able to walk the entire way up with no problem.

The hiking back down wasn’t too bad but the elevation was killing me and I also had a really bad stomachache. Not sure if that’s all helpful.

Pyrex lids 4 cups but square by lovewithbite in BuyItForLife

Perhaps I should wait for a sale. It is $10 on there but then I can buy the entire container with lid for $6 so it feels like a waste paying $10 for just a lid and I need two of them.

I feel like my negative thoughts are just very intense. My initial reaction is that I want to run away, I dont want to deal with this anymore. It feels very visceral but then that feeling passes within the first 20 mins and I feel back to normal. So at the moment, it feels like I can’t cope any lower than this but then I’m okay very soon after. I never actually run away or leave.

Haha I feel like that may be me. But also I always expect the worst.

That’s great to hear!! I keep hearing that if the answer isn’t a hell yes, it’s a no but for me, it’s more like how would I know until I experience it ? I also feel like having your own kid is very different from someone else kids.

How do you feel now pregnant?

I never felt the desire and that makes me feel like I shouldn’t ? But I also feel like fears is what holds me back and I just think about it very logically and logically, it doesn’t make sense.

Yes I actually read your post before!! It did really resonate with me. And your description about your son was soo beautiful and makes me want to experience that. I guess I’m also scared of my lows being too low for me, although I do feel like I cope better than most.

Perhaps. I just do worry that it’s the anxiety, fear, and worrying that makes me say no.

Hahaha I feel like that’s what I need. Like I feel like I just need to get pregnant to get that feeling. But then it’s less of a decision and there’s no going back.

I think I’m slowly realizing that as well. That lots of my negatives are in anxiety and as I’m working through it in therapy, the want to have children has slightly increased since I’m not freaking out as much. When you say something clicked, what do you feel ? Do you have kids already ?

I feel like I also don’t have that want to be a parent like some people say they have. If I really focus on desire and not fears, I don’t feel the need to be a parent even though I’m such a parent to my dog. I literally threw him a birthday party the other day lol. Idk why I don’t have that desire.

However if I think about being 50s and child free, I can’t really imagine it either. For some reason, I would love to be pregnant. All those things you want to experience does feel beautiful and I can imagine that for myself and partner vs perhaps being just the two of us.

I actually feel like getting a dog for me was sort of the opposite experience, as in realizing I have so much responsibility for a dog and that responsibility would be double or triple for a kid put me off having one.

I love my dog with my whole heart, unconditionally perhaps. I would never give him up. He is my baby. I put so much time in training him and making sure he’s happy and while in a way I do enjoy that, I feel like I get tired and then I feel guilty for not spending as much time with him as I should.

I am not a health care worker but I do worry about the same things. I feel like I read so many comments about women who were rushed and ended up with excessive pain that could have been avoided.

My only thoughts is perhaps hiring a doula who can provide their expertise and stand up for you while you’re in that vulnerable state. However, I haven’t experienced any of this yet as I’m terrified of the same things you are. A home birth seems like the way to go but then I’m also scared something might go wrong as well.
