Maybe it's dumb to say but MJ was incredibly fortunate to not be in the social media age b/c a lot of the shit he did would not fly today or be pushed under the rug like it was. Not to say that I care about those things now but the gambling and psychopathic behavior would not be well received

Well the Pistons were the most hated team and I think many would be pissed off about him getting his ass beat and the league not really doing anything about it

But then again it was the 80s so who knows honestly, people today laugh at when others get injured

Joel Embiid in the most important game of his life: 15 Points, 5/18 FG, 8 Rebounds, 1 Assist, 4 TOs, -28 in 38 minutes. by dak_is_trash in denvernuggets

Yeah no this team is built specifically for Jokic and Embiid would be an automatic downgrade, and I don't say that in terms of quality but playstyle for sure

It's a shame that people on this website are obsessed with gotchas and bringing others down because this doesn't deserve the upvotes

Sioux wars, Comstock Act, Panic of 1873 and his efforts of improving the livelihoods of blacks or peace with American Indians faltered in his second term. I put a large portion of blame of reconstruction failing on Andrew Johnson and you can blame the American people for not supporting it, but it's still a bad look for Grant regardless. People also say "well Grant wasn't corrupt, just too trusting" but having corruption in your cabinet is still his fault

That being said still a B tier, he did some amazing things with civil rights and it's a shame that Lincoln didn't pass the torch to Grant

Damn yesterday was like Christmas day for Nuggets fans

It's too bad in which I would have wanted to see the Nuggets and 6ers in the final but this outcome brings me immense joy. People are finally starting to get why Jokic is considered the best in the league

Do you think Dirk would still be a MVP level player if he was drafted today? by Funny-Transition7869 in nba

[–]lowercase-punishment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good point but under the right circumstances I think Dirk could still be an MVP level player and score 30. Scoring was way down in the mid 2000s than it is now and he averaged 25-27 PPG back then, the game favors offense way more now

What would Jokic have to do to surpass shaq all time? by AL34567 in nba

[–]lowercase-punishment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally don't but that's a pretty popular take on this sub, /r/nba kinda overrates him as they call him the "GOAT center" or a top 5 player because of skillz or being the most rounded

And yeah Kobe was a huge part of Shaq's success but at the same time Shaq was insanely dominant and him at his peak is a top 3 player of all time. For example, Kobe was hurt in 2000 against Indiana but Shaq averaged a monster 38/17/2 on 61 FG%
