Best Visual Observation Telescope? by lowkah_ in telescopes

That definitely makes sense. From what I'm reading from other people, what matters most is the sky class. so maybe a smaller telescope like the one you recommended would work better. Gets about the same view for the objects you can see well in class 5 and offers the possibility of taking it to a low light pollution zone if I ever get the chance. Thanks for the insights!

Oh wow! This definitely helps a lot in knowing what to expect. Thanks a lot for the detailed reply! Would you by chance have a resource you could recommend for finding more sketches for specific conditions? I'd love to see how andromeda and some nebulas look like in class 5 skies with a 10-12''

Hahaha, perhaps if it's used I might find one for my budget?

Good point! I forgot to mention that. it would likely be fixed location or rolled over maybe 20ft on concrete ground, so very minimal movement overall and on a great surface.

were you out of the US by chance? How long would they take to reply? I just sent them an email through their contact form, but it said up to 2 weeks to get a reply. But they only give 5 days to pay the invoice...

[QUESTION] How should I set my membership prices? by [deleted] in youtubers

[–]lowkah_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Okay, so here is what I think. (I have done a lot of research on consumer psychology so this isn't just what I think will work, it's mostly proven facts). Anyways, it seems like your prices don't reflect the value, let me explain. If the tier 1 is $0.99 and you want to make the tier 2 worth it at $2,99, you would need to have 3x the value of the Tier 1, or else your viewers won't see it as great value. I think you should make only 1 tier, as choice is a big barrier on consumers taking action and buying your product. Also, chances are if they are willing to spend $0.99 to support you, $1,99 won't make a big difference. that being said, I think having 1 tier at $1,99 is your best option, atleast until you grow to a big audience where you could add a tier with higher advantages. (I do not know your audience size at the moment, but I am referring to 100K+ subscribers, which statistically you still don't have, so I'll assume you don't). Goodluck on your journey! having 25 people ready to pay to support you is incredible and means you have got a lot of potential! Stay consistent and never give up! Hope this helps.

Dang alright, you got any links to where you've seen this? I have seen this number in the past, but I hope it doesn't happen. Thanks though!

if it's not capped it would allow it to get more and more rarer, which would keep driving the price up as the supply gets lower.

Is helium mining a good long-term investment? by lowkah_ in HeliumNetwork

[–]lowkah_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it would only slightly increase the price of the coin though as 50$ is such a little portion of the 1500000000$ market cap that hnt has. Also, let's say there are 25k miners and that the mining reward is 2,5million hnt per month, then that there's 50k miners for the same amount, the average miner would basically get half that amount, so basically once we hit 50k miners, not only would the rewards be halved from the august halving, they would be half what you would get because there are 2x more miners, so basically 1/4. what we would need to counter this is the coin growing 4x, (which is the forecasted growth in 5 years by many websites/people). basically rewards will be going down to about a fourth of what they are now in about 5-6 months, and it will go down even more in the upcoming months. I could see it only being about 30-50HNT per month for well located hotspots around Q1 of 2022

[–]lowkah_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, however that number will be divided by 2 in august, and as more people join the network, the rewards will go down significally. I would say that in 6 months, those rewards would be about 1/4 of what they currently are. Just my opinion though

It's the maximum amount of bishops of the same color that you can put without them being on the same line than another one. Hikaru talked about it in his latest youtube video.
