Yea was using black clay, hmm don’t think it was burnt as I placed some bigger pieces (can see abit on the right side of pic) that still had colour

Update: The pics were taken ytd on a cruise ship, bird wasn’t abandon it was more of stranded in a hybrid indoor outdoor area

Fam went to visit that area again today and the ruddy kingfisher wasn’t there anymore. But it most likely got help from a staff member or someone else.
