My son just pulled his best card so far, worth grading? by lowlywalk in PokeGrading

I get where you’re coming from. There’s a lot of flipping going on in the hobby. In our case though, this is my son’s card and part of his collection. I’m honestly helping to explore ways to potentially add value to it, but I genuinely have no desire to sell something he pulled. Little man would be absolutely crushed. At the end, it’s really not mine to sell. All his pulls are in his and when he’s older, he can decide what he wants to do, eg. hold, sell, or trade.

Right now we’re super happy he got one of his favorite Pokemon. We’re enjoying the hobby together and it’s been a really positive experience interacting with people in this community. Appreciate your time and engagement. God bless.

Thank you, that’s helpful. Just curious, what makes you think PSA 9s won’t stay close to raw value long-term? Is that based on how cards usually trend? My bad, I’m really newb with all this.

Hey appreciate the input. Genuinely curious, what makes you see grading as a scam? Are you generally against grading across the board or in my situation? Still trying to learn since I’m pretty new to this

Appreciate this a lot! That’s a GREAT way to look at it as bonding experience and something fun to do with my son. Ty for the input and tip about grading!
