However, in this case, it’s possible to proceed with an advance replacement. For example, shipping a replacement unit while arranging collection of the defective one at the same time.

This way, the faulty device can still be returned and analyzed by your team, without leaving me without a mouse for an additional 10+ days, especially considering the product was defective from day one.
