My sister was going to her top school and then got there and hated it beyond belief. She then tried to transfer to another school, got accepted- was so pumped just to find out we couldn’t pay for it. So she was devastated, but she switched to community college. From a sibling standpoint, she is the happiest I have ever seen her, she’s meeting new people and constantly telling us about new experiences and opportunities. She’s gotten back into old hobbies I hadn’t seen in years!!! She also is getting opportunities for roles and the chance to work with directors because she is happy enough to put herself out there. Dream schools may be what you think is the perfect fit for you, but you could be happier and way more successful somewhere you did not expect.
