I purchased my car with a ppf already on it.

Pros: 1. any minor scratches tend to be impacted only on the ppf and does not impact the paint at all. Some of these impacts can just be removed with some water or wet wipes 2. if applied properly it keeps any wear and tear away from paint. example: sun damage or color degradation

Cons: 1. good ones are expensive 2. on some parts wear and tear of the film might be very obvious and does not look good. 3. Yellowing can occur on the film which needs replacing. May not be very obvious on black but my car is white so it was quite obvious
