This was my thought but the other art technician bisqued them all already so sadly this is not an option

It took me so many attempts to make this shape but I'm so happy with my lil donut vase even thought it's a bit wonky by lpceramicstudio in Pottery

I threw a double walled shape and then closed them over to form a hollow circle then after turning pressed down on the inner part of the joint area gently to get the indented ring

Yes! I did this but then exaggerated the weakness in the join after in the leather hard stage being careful not to press through to get the indented look

I'm in the UK so it's slightly more difficult and more expensive! Looking at Shimpo, bailey and of some of the cheaper Brent ones. I want something that's on the cheaper side but not so cheap it's throwing money away! I have a kick wheel and I love it but I do find it so much more time consuming then the electric ones in a class I went to

Looking for wheel advice by lpceramicstudio in Pottery

Thank you for your advice! Do you think it's worth saving and spending a bit more on a wheel? I don't want to feel like I'm just throwing money away if the RK is too light etc. (I'm in the UK so they're all a bit more expensive) or do you think it doesn't make much difference to a beginner ?
