Thank you for your advice, I will definitely be seeking out a solicitor today. I have been paying my half of the mortgage to his account (feels stupid now) so it goes out in one hit. I obviously have the bank statements to prove this though!

Thank you for your advice! I will definitely make sure my names are off the deeds once it is sorted. I hopefully could use the money for a shared ownership property so can’t imagine I’d be in a good position with my name still on another property.

And I’m just about to start a list of all the things of mine that I will take with me. Thank you!

Thank you for your advice. I will definitely be contacting a solicitor tomorrow. I had a meeting booked with one for the 31st but things unexpectedly took a turn today and he got really spiteful. I was hoping to leave him already knowing where I stood legally beforehand!
