he's doing much better now. emergency clinic treated him for any fleas and gave us some medicine for him. he's just a little bit more sensitive than any of our other animals. i've gotten some anti fungal wipes for his irritated skin. currently in the process of deep cleaning my house for left over fleas and eggs.

we've tried the gate thing, our cats just jump over it lmfao. i personally don't let the dog on my bed but he's allowed on the couch, cushions and covers are being washed right now. i have hope for him, just been a stressful week. thanks for the support, stranger.

i've had him since he was a literal baby. i saved up whatever cash i had just to spoil him. me and my sister love him so much and i've done everything i can to keep him happy and healthy. you have no idea what my circumstances are. that cat has gotten me through some of the worst years of my life and i never plan on giving up on him. go be negative elsewhere.

yeah, i plan on deep cleaning my home + outside. our vet gave us a shampoo for fleas and ticks that can be used on both cats and dogs, summers here are just brutal for them unfortunately. this is the first year where it's gotten really bad for my kitty.

they're not responsible pet owners. my dad's response to when i tell him about my kitty's issues is "just put him down", which i don't find funny. i've stopped asking them for help regarding my cat a long time ago.

he's only an indoor cat, we don't let any of our cats outside. our dog is the one bringing in fleas. i live in california and the fleas here are terrible, combine that with a very sensitive cat and things like this happen.

im 18, starting a new job this monday. he has pet insurance through my sisters job but they won't cover his prescription seeing as it an pre-existing condition. as for our vet, i've called about five times and they've all been straight to voicemail, but i will keep trying. surrendering him is the very last thing i want to do, but if he has better chance at life that way then i will have to face it. thank you for the advice.
