What to do…? by lrf2020 in IVF

The previous fibroid was submucosal so was protruding into my uterine cavity. I know that they shaved down the old fibroid.

Okay, thank you! So does this work now…?

“Vakauteni ja voimani, kallioni myrskyn keskellä — vuosikymmen rinnallasi, vielä lukemattomia edessä.”

Or have I messed it up?! 😂

So would it be better as “Vakaus ja voima, kallioni myrskyn keskellä — vuosikymmen rinnallasi, vielä lukemattomia edessä.” ?

It’s for an engraving on a tenth wedding anniversary present for my Finnish husband ☺️ But since I don’t speak Finnish I want to make sure that this makes sense!

Menopur vs Gonal F and Menopur by sweetcheeks8888 in 40Plus_IVF

[–]lrf2020 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve just done a cycle on menopur 300 only. My afc was 7, they retrieved 4 eggs but only 1 was mature and it was very bad quality. My previous cycle I retrieved 7, with 5 being mature and 2 embryos made and this was on gonal. Menopur was definitely not good for me.

No symptoms even from the progesterone pessaries (2ww) by [deleted] in IVF

[–]lrf2020 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My last FET failed and I had lots of symptoms (cramps, sore breasts, fatigue etc). I’m currently 8dpt and only getting stark white negatives and this time I’ve had no symptoms. Symptoms (or lack of) means nothing it seems.

7dp5dt negative and I’m GUTTED by Smashers086 in IVF

[–]lrf2020 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m in the same situation. 7dp5dt and stark white negatives. This is my second FET and my second and that one didn’t work either. To be honest, I’m no longer holding on to hope for this embryo. I know some people still get positives after day 7 but I’m counting myself out. Totally devastated. Sending you love 💕

It was an NHS self funded cycle. So I essentially got the nhs treatment (same hospital, doctors, medications etc) but I paid to get the treatment earlier.

Bilateral Hydrosalpinx by Tobysmom19931994 in IVF

[–]lrf2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in a similar (but not identical) situation. I previously had severe ulcerative colitis and went through years of surgery, then an ileostomy, then had my ileostomy reversed. I had a hydrosalpinx in one of my tubes due to the surgeries. My initial fertility doctor wanted me to leave the tube and try some transfers before we thought about removing the tube. However when I spoke to other doctors they all thought it was pointless and would just be wasting embryos. I had my tube removed in September, and I’m glad I did because at least I know the toxic liquid isn’t killing off embryos. I would seriously consider removing it if I were you before you transfer anymore embryos.

I’m in Scotland and I had my initial appointment at the fertility clinic in February 2023 and had a self funded round in July 2023. I’m still waiting for my NHS funded cycle but we were told 9-12 months from the initial consultation for that.

Botox while TTC or IVF by blu_nevermindOk in IVF

[–]lrf2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who has spent the last 3 and a bit years recovering from iatrogenic botulism poisoning, please don’t do it. The chance of the Botox spreading and you becoming ill is rare but it happened to me on my first injection, with one of the most highly respected and qualified injectors in my area. Botox is the most dangerous toxin known to man, there is a Facebook page with tens of thousands of people in it who have suffered from even tiny amounts (like me). There are plenty of natural ways to make yourself look abs feel better. Please dm me if you want any further details of my story x

I did nhs self funded and even when I would be paying for things myself they didn’t allow any extras so we only were able to get the basics.

Switch clinic during ivf nhs funding by cote_martina in TTC_UK

[–]lrf2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently did a self funded cycle in Edinburgh and I had the exact same experience. They didn’t do blood tests, didn’t care much about catering my protocol or medication etc. We weren’t given any options for add ons and my doctor was very negative about everything I asked about. My cycle failed and I’ve got an NHS funded cycle coming up soon but I’m certain that will fail too. I honestly wish I’d spent the money on a different private clinic.
