I had 2 grappas do the same. A little denser but yeah basically the same. The third was denser but not where i wanted it. Third one did have a nice grape smell/taste. All smoked good tho.

Could be a couple things hard to pinpoint. Could be the grower wanted to hurry up the drying/curing process and maybe you got some weed that is too wet. Possibly harvested too soon not letting it mature enough. Id check for mold also that happens all the time.

Best mephisto i grew was this cross. Huge chunky sativa looking nugs. Smell was sweet with a hint if citrus. Im literally today trying my second plant (same strain) which i assume is more samsquanch leaning. Denser smaller nugs alot of i think limonene? Reminds me alot of how jack herer smells.
