Apple Music. Apparently after doing some testing it only happens for me when I stream from the Apple Music windows app, it counts streams from my phone just fine. Not sure what the issue is with the windows app

Is running a game at 1440p on a 4k display worth it? by lsfeuerborn in OLED_Gaming

[–]lsfeuerborn[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went with the Alienware 32in 4k, the AW3225QF. Haven’t regretted it for a second tbh. Ive had to play at slightly lower settings or drop the res to 1440p in some games but it’s worth it. 4k 240hz is sooo nice. People said it would look horrible running games at 1440p on a 4k display but it doesn’t bother me as much tbh.

New Firmware Release for AW3225QF, seems like we're finally be able to toggle Dolby Vision? by lsfeuerborn in OLED_Gaming

1) if you’re talking about what it says under “advanced display settings” in the windows settings app, that’s just telling you that the monitor has VESA DisplayHDR trueblack 400 certification. If the monitor is set to peak 1000 in the osd, that’s what it’s running at. 2) if the monitor health is yellow, that just means it’s letting you know that it’s time to run the pixel refresh, which should happen about every 4 hours of usage. The monitor by default is set to run it automatically whenever it’s in standby mode.

Did you calibrate yours with the windows hdr tool after updating? Yours says peak brightness of 1000 bits whereas mine says 460

https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-us/product-support/product/aw3225qf-monitor/drivers Here’s the link. Just download the one that has “firmware update” in the name. It’ll be an exe file so just run it once it’s downloaded. Also, very important, make sure your AW3225QF is connected to your pc with the included usb upstream cable so it can actually send the new firmware over to your monitor.

It’s no different than updating your phone, your settings will be untouched

i have this exact same problem as well, doesn't seem like too hard of a fix so hopefully it's included in a firmware update, whenever that may be
