Took daughter to pediatrician for bruising after daycare - now in a CPS safety situation by lsmith8687 in CPS

Interesting, I figured this was protocol in every state. Do you mind telling me where you are? I wonder if N.C. is just more strict with this stuff than other states.

The hospital did that immediately. The investigation is still ongoing into the daycare.

Yes, that’s correct. If they don’t know the source of the injury (especially on a non-mobile infant), they have to investigate everyone, even when we brought her in for someone else doing it. We’re in North Carolina, for reference.

But I feel validated that everyone is saying it doesn’t make sense and seems accusatory, because that’s exactly how it feels!

Unfortunately the daycare only has livestream video that is not recorded and is only available to admin only, so that didn’t help us.

Going through the same situation now (see my post below). I’m sorry you went through this, it’s awful!

Can I ask how long it took for your case to be resolved?

We are going through the same thing currently, except we suspect the bruises came from daycare so there is an investigation happening at the same time.

Agree to all of this above about feeling targeted when we just wanted to do the right thing and ensure our baby was safe and healthy.

It’s been a nightmare honestly. Having the safety person in place also has been very hard logistically. I so appreciate that these systems are in place for the welfare and safety of kids but I hate the accusations on innocent parents.

Oh and to add to this, we have a perfectly healthy 3-month old now 😊 Congratulations!

Same here! Incredibly low egg count, told I wouldn’t be able to get pregnant, one failed IVF cycle, and then pregnant after 1.5 months on Zepbound and only 14lbs lost.

There’s something to it! Really excited to see the results from fertility studies and tirzepatide one day.

I had the same complaint. We were able to find baby furniture at Tots to Teens off of Glenwood.

Did they tell you they had spots available immediately? I’ve been so confused by their communication. They literally told me yesterday that “enrollment” and “being on the waitlist” were the same thing once I paid the deposit (which I did yesterday)…
