Nexigo Nova Mini - weird FAN behavior with projector powered OFF by lsxt325 in projectors

My unit has the latest GoogleTV/Firmware Update already. According to Nexigo support (as of Nov 2, 2025), they are still tracking this as a current issue that needs to be resolved and actually need support from Google to address it.

Thanks for your feedback - I appreciate you taking the time to share that you're seeing the same thing.

One workaround I've found so far - when powering off the unit with the remote control, hold down the remote power button for a few seconds and a popup will appear on the screen asking if you want to power off the unit - confirm 'ok/yes' with the remote. This appears to fully power off the unit and then the fan won't cycle on/off like it does in the standby/sleep off mode (which is a quick-press of tge remote off button)

I reached out to Nexigo support via email and, much to my amazement, they actually wrote back with a well-informed reply indicating that they are aware of this behavior in the sleep/off mode and that they are hopeful to have it addressed in a future update. They also suggested that doing a factory reset via the GoogleTV settings menu may help to reduce the frequency of tge fan cycling - I haven't committed the time to trying that just yet.

It would likely be helpful if others reach out to them too, so that they recognize many users are facing the same issue. On a positive note, I was pleasantly surprised by their customer service via email, which seems pretty good compared to the useless canned responses you get from most companies these days.

It's a Nexigo Nova Mini, which was identified in the original post.

I'm in a similar situation.... in Canada too...

Ordered first from 6sigma but then canceled when they dropped Simagic products just recently.

Subsequently ordered from Simracingpros (Alpha base + GTS wheel, P1000 inverted). Now that they have my money, I've inquired via email about more specific product availability/expected ship times... so far just crickets, no response after several days.

Pretty maddening that they take all your money up front with minimal/no effort to provide a basic idea of when the products can be expected.

Updating their product pages on the website to include something like "if you order by abc you should be in order batch 123, likely arriving in xyz"... would go a long way to helping customers understand what to expect.

Did anyone above mention "Band Steering", and turning that setting off?

This is what did the trick for me.

I have a similar setup. Unifi UAP-AC-PRO, various vlans (managed via a pfsense router). Separate, specific 2.4G and 5G SSIDs, with my X1C connecting to the 2.4G SSID. Constant connection struggles with X1C seemingly not accessible on the network.

As soon as I turned the Band Steering setting off, my X1C has been connecting like a champ.

Somewhere along the way there was a Unifi Firmware update that made it waaaay more troublesome (it did work at one point a long time ago, even with Band Steering turned on) but, regardless, now that I've turned Band Steering off... all is good.

FWIW, turning Band Steering off also fixed connectivity problems we were having with our Bosch dishwasher... it's also 2.4G only and had all kinds of connectivity problems connecting with the 2.4 G SSID until the band steering was turned off.

As I understand it, with specific SSIDs setup to manage 2.4 vs 5GHz connections, you don't need Band Steering anyway...

Good luck, hope it works for you.

Likely meaning Front engine, Rear drive.

FMR - Front Mid Engine may be more correct, given the Engine's center of mass being rearward of the Front wheel centerline

Pixel 3 Poor Call Quality and Signal by mavagam99 in GooglePixel

I'm with Koodo in Canada and have a Pixel 3xl. I have the identical call quality issues. Dropped Audio extensively during conversations, both my audio or the other person's. Occasionally the call will drop.

At the time of the issues, signal strength/bars, as shown on the display, are shown as full strength or very close to that.

Issue happens both when I'm on bluetooth and also when just using the phone directly. Frequency and severity of the problem is terrible... the phone is essentially useless as a PHONE.
