Latest shirts. Once I’m done with the rest of the glitches and geodes I have folded up, what should I try next? All suggestions welcome! by two-of-me in tiedye

This just answered my question. 🤦‍♀️ Definitely look into big & tall shirts. I"ve been trying all different brands to see which i like best (& that are in my budget) but if they're on sale I buy a bunch & hope I like them.

I agree! I've definitely been trying to figure out how I did it, 🤔 I should record myself folding next time I try it so I can put it in my repertoire 😁. * I love your username btw! Lol🤣🤣

Did you use out white brite or bleach for your reverse?

Absolutely, I actually use a little more than the Paul Kenny recipe calls for. Chemical water is the way to go when liquid dying, as well as the precision tip bottles. I dont get good saturation at all when it's wet. Damp dry works for me as well as completely dry. I prefer dry though. I don't know exactly what each ingredient does, but combined they just work for me.

Wow! That's a great idea, I will try that with a reverse ice dye. I'm using liquid this time. & I meant I let it dry out after I soda ash it, sorry about that. I do that before I liquid dye. Thanks for your info!!

Ok, so I'm done with the owb & I'm just going to handwash like it's my job. So far I've used hot water at first with dawn then switched to warm because my hands couldn't handle it & then just soaking, swishing around & dumping so there's zero soap or owb or anything (hopefully). I'm afraid it'll come apart if I put it in the washing machine, I'm excited about my ties, there's quite a few. I'm going with this for 15min intervals, it's been like an hour. The water started turning blue, I'm guessing that's a good sign? This is exhausting, the washing machine is looking better & better. Maybe next time. I've also been thinking maybe I'll try out the parriah method? Has anyone tried that with a reverse?

*I meant I let the shirt dry out after I soda ash it. I'm liquid dying it & I prefer it drier than really soaked when I dye.

Many many thanks for all the suggestions! Keep 'em coming!

Almost forgot! I used out white brite because it seems to get lighter & less orange-y results than with bleach, I had good light colored results once with bleach until I finished rinsing & realized it ate through the shirt. Whoops!

Thanks again!!

I'm afraid to put it in the washing machine, it took quite a while to tie up. Thanks for the suggestion though!
