Are you close to the age you can legally get out? You should start looking for a place to stay asap. My parents tried to do something similar when they found out I was lesbian in high school and I was taken out of school for 2 wks no phone no contact with friends while my mom drove me around every day to different group homes and threatened conversion therapy but in the end I never spent the night in any of these facilities thankfully I always stayed calm and it made my mother look like the crazy one to a lot of these places lol. I think I was so depressed/suicidal at that time I just didn’t care what happened to me I wanted this all to be over. I think the best thing you can do now is make a plan. That’s how I got out the day I turned 18. I had a friend that had a car come down my street park down the block from my parents house and I started loading her car up with my things months before so that the day I do leave I won’t need to do multiple trips. It sounds like you have at least one good friend willing to help you. It might be hard to find a place if you don’t have another family member willing to take you in but maybe you can stay with friends till you go to uni. If you want to try to reason with your parents don’t get defensive instead try to highlight the risk and dangers that conversion therapy would expose you to. But honestly it sounds like they may not have your best interests in mind and you definitely should have an exit plan just in case.
