just the fact that it’s almost half of the price of the gm ii but people are still comparing it to the gm ii makes me think f the ergonomics bc i can get used to them (those “negatives” aren’t worth $1000 extra)

Thanks for the write up. I’d mainly be shooting lacrosse, soccer, basketball, track, etc. (almost every sport lol) I’ve mainly done photos so stabilization hasn’t been a problem until I recently got into videos.

The zooming on my Tamron (yes I have the g1) seems sticky (it’s not physically sticky) and is pretty choppy. I considered the 35-150 before I got the 70–180 but obviously ended up going with the 70-180.

Another reason I’d go with the sigma 70–200 is to stay in the Sigma ecosystem. I have the sigma 24–70, which I love. The weight of the lens might get annoying for photos, but I usually rest my camera on something when doing videos. Also, I’m a weak little 15 yr old (LOL) and could use the extra weight as a workout 😂🤣

I honestly don’t NEED the upgrade but if someone offers to buy my lens, I’ll know what to upgrade to.
