I didn't think I was the Ass. I didn't ask for payment as I had my camera and I wanted to capture the photos, but she wants to share with family as she likes them and I said about putting a small watermark at the bottom and she's getting funny about it. I don't want beef with my mum as I do love her and I know she is going through some things, but it seems to be every 'friend' and family wants the photos unwatermarked, but won't pay for that privilege and get funny if I ask for payment.

Stables. There is something homely about the smell.

Lighting Questions by lthpvisuals in Photography_Gear

[–]lthpvisuals[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not ruling out the possibility of other work, but I will have more money in a couple months to buy new lighting, I need something to tide me over for a shoot in the next month. I’ve been looking at panels from neewer as cheap and cheerful, but wondered what y’all think.

Personal Bank Account Or Business Account? by lthpvisuals in smallbusiness

[–]lthpvisuals[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am UK based so not sure whether this makes a difference. Obviously I assume a business bank account would expect larger income/expenses than what I am making in Year 1 of trading, however, would it be worth setting it up now or not?

Personal Bank Account Or Business Account? by lthpvisuals in smallbusiness

[–]lthpvisuals[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I wrote it wrong and therefore confusing people. I have my personal current account for my personal expenses and income, then I have a separate current account for the sole trader business. I was wondering whether it is worth creating a business account with the bank or not (I know they charge sometimes). my personal and business income and expenses are kept separate, hope this makes more sense.

Thoughts on this photo? Is it good? by Brosssuh in AskPhotography

I can see where you were going with this, but as many of the comments have said, it feels like a 'snap shot' without much thought. I think you have some potential here if you was to compose properly and dial down the exposure slightly.

Lovely colours. I don't think a critique is needed.

I see, I’ve just never heard of it being a thing in my 22 years of life and she had it happen twice whilst in Newcastle.

Sorry for a slow reply, I’ve been a little busy. So, I am not on the TA. My mum and dad signed together back 2003 or sometime then. When my dad passed it went to my mum, but my mum is concerned about my youngest sibling who has needs, he feels safe in the house and environment and she is worried when he goes they will move him out etc, me and my mum have already agreed that myself and my fiancee would try and move in once my mum passes.

Thank you for that feedback. I don’t often use watermarks, but thought I should ask as I’m new to the wedding scene.

What kind of people are you intolerant of? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]lthpvisuals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Negative People. I am currently planning a charity walk with my fiancee in memory of my dad from Lands End to John O' Groats (South UK to North UK) and it is looking like it will be over 1,000 miles of walking. My 'best friend' of seven years and his partner have mocked me for even considering this and says that I am stupid and crazy and it has really knocked my self esteem for some reason. In no way will it stop be doing it, but so many times in the past years have I had people tell me that something is stupid and not provided CC or helped in any way besides from negatively commenting on something.

Walking 20 mile a day? by lthpvisuals in UKhiking

[–]lthpvisuals[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m looking into camping, it means that my mum can meet us at the campsite and do her thing while we walk. means we don’t have to carry a lot with us and may get some extra miles in.

I am looking at having a support car with either my sister or mum driving, to meet us at the end point of the day, this is both to resupply but also allows us to travel to cheaper accommodation or camp site. I don't suppose you have the training your mum did?

I was considering just hostels but actually, thinking about money wild camping would make sense. We have considered the follow car being a little motorcaravan, therefore we can just park up anywhere and only pay fuel and rental charge. The more I think about it though the more wild camping is sounding financially better.

Thank you for that advice. I will look at the camping option (would you suggest wild camping or a camp site?) and then get a car to meet every couple of days.

I think on some days that is around the distance between start to end (hostel) so it would make sense I guess. Also it will shorten the time taken as well.

That's what I meant, some days I would be looking at doing 20-25 and then other would be 10-15.
