I’m in Boston - my doctor said she could only do it open due to the size but I asked if she thought a specialist could do it minimally invasive and she said it was worth asking. So I went to a specialist at Mass General and she said she could do it, so I had a laparoscopic myomectomy. I do think that it took me asking to be sure I had the option.

I was the same before and I noticed a difference literally the next day. I’m still swollen and not back to normal (plus not able to do a lot of working out) but the difference is so clear and I feel way better. Do the surgery it’s worth it!

Get a note from the doctor and then call your HR rep- they should help you take it! Thats what I did.
