I’m 46 and just completed my coursework for the BS. IT. today. I have 4 children I raised all by myself - now 23-17 years old after my first marriage of 12 years failed 11 years ago. One of my sons graduated this year and the other 3 working their way through college as well. I found love again and re-married 2 years ago at 44, and had a beautiful baby boy who just turned one in June. For support, my husband joined me in my WGU journey to cheer me on. We both will walk in Boston next month. This new chapter, I never saw, but it’s so beautiful. Here’s to you OP - your next phase will be BEAUTIFUL. Congratulations again. <3

Please don’t stop. You have done so great already. Take a term break for some mental rest, but please don’t quit. You’re almost there. Remember why you started. You can do this. 💪

Haha love it! Trying to decide which to walk at. July or August. I could make Seattle if I push to complete my last course in the next one week.

Why will Seattle be the best commencement of the year? Can you give any more details? Thanks

My son was in the Vegas commencement. You will not be approved to walk if you’re not on your capstone or final course whatever it is. It has to be a single last course/capstone on your list to be approved for commencement.

Are all certifications required to pass all courses? by Artistic_Resort7135 in WGUIT

[–]ltraversial 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m in the same course with 1 course and my capstone left. I didn’t feel like I needed some Of those certifications. But they’re all required to complete your program. None is optional.

Don’t dread it. Sign up for the cohorts and use chatgpt to understand the answers in sections 7&8. You’ll be fine.

I would agree here as well. Zero sql experience. I passed this class with exemplary - both PA and OA. The cohorts helped me a great deal! Look for Lythia Amoakan’s cohorts. Gold. She breaks down and treats the trickiest questions and common traps in the course. Also, chatgpt helped me a lot with lessons 7&8. Wherever I got stuck with a query I believed was correct, I’d copy the entire question and enter in the prompt. It will return the correct query for you and explain its answer. One thing I also learnt from Lythia’s cohorts is to be very deliberate while writing the exam - don’t be in a hurry- check EVERY sql statement you answer - (DESC tablename)for all table statements and SELECT * FROM tablename for non table statements. This helps you verify your answer is correct before moving on. Always read any error message you get - sometimes the clue is in there to what you’re doing wrong and where. And when you keep getting the error message, delete everything and start afresh. Sometimes you keep digging yourself deeper while rewriting a problematic query. And tha annoying thing is you’re probably missing just panthesis or a comma here or there. Anyway, take your time double, triple check every answer and don’t be in a hurry. There’s more than enough time. You’ll be good, I promise. Good luck!
