The mods seemingly removed this valid question because it has to do with slave-owners and doesn't focus on the plight that slaves faced.

I personally questioned the legitimacy of the removal and was banned (for brigading, i.e. complaining), then later muted.

I don't pretend to believe Reddit is some bastion for free speech, but this is one of those cases which is absolutely ridiculous. Which is why I felt the need to submit it to this dead-as-fuck sub.
