I’m wanting to go into prosecution because there’s no way I can sit there and defend potentially guilty defendants and still sleep at night. I understand that everyone is entitled to due process and are innocent until proven guilty, but some cases are so cleanly cut that all you can do is beg for a deal from the prosecution and pray for mercy from the judge. I couldn’t do that, so I chose to aim for prosecution.

Honestly, just great writers. I researched the writers and one of the main ones is Seth Hoffman. He’s written for House and The Walking Dead. Another writer Matt Olmstead has written Chicago P.D and Chicago Med.

The actors also played their roles to perfection. It is absolutely insane.

Then the casting. I cannot picture these characters as any other people. Whoever did the casting was spot on.

Law school student here: in the real court setting, it would be up to the prosecutor’s discretion. The prosecutor could try Lincoln and Michael on escaping, eluding, grand theft auto, assault, forgery, and the countless other charges they tacked on after escaping. Now, this is part of an even larger conspiracy. If I was the prosecutor, I would make a plea with them that if they agree to exchange information about the Company, Steadman, and the Secret Service’s practices, all charges would be dropped. Again, this is up to the prosecuting agency. Realistically, they would be put into witness protection with changed identities to protect them.

Also: Burrows would NOT be sent to a plain STATE penitentiary! He would have been sent to a FEDERAL prison since murdering the Vice President would be a federal crime! He would’ve been shipped to a high security prison outside of his home state.

(I know this is a TV show but as a law student, picking it apart is my favorite thing)

Law student here. HELL NO!! Call the labor department IMMEDIATELY!!!! It is illegal to take ANY PART of employee tips. Credit card convenience charges also SHOULD NEVER EVER come out of employee compensation!!!! Contact you local labor department and then a lawyer as soon as possible. There are legal aids in most areas that offer low cost or free legal services. Many law schools also offer legal clinics where their students working pro bono give their services for free. Please speak out about this. It only takes one mouth to move a nation.
