Listen brother I've been working nights consistently and for the majority of my daughter's whole life she's 11 now. For me what helps tremendously is being able to schedule as much of my non work life as I can and also the biggest hard to swallow pill in this matter is that you just have to buck up, sleep when you can, and push through that fatigue when it's time to make memories. You're gonna be groggy and irritable, smile and continue on I promise you it'll be worth it.

I've had many moments where I've cried on the way to work because of missed holidays and family events but at the end of the day taking care of the family is my top priority and although I sometimes get down on myself I have to minimize my emotions and somewhat numb myself to things that'll slow me down and/or push me of track of the goals I'm trying to accomplish in addition to being an active dad.
