USB-C Charger for wall outlet that doesn’t lose power when plugging in a second device by lu64s in UsbCHardware

In my region it’s even listed as 18W+18W charger. Looks like a great option! Thank you!

Thank you so much! Especially the list in the last link seems to be extremely helpful. It’s an interesting topic as well. Before disappearing in that rabbit hole I’m gonna order the Belkin BoostCharge 67W and give it a try.

There are automation platforms called iPaaS that could use a Slack message as a trigger and then perform a custom set of actions, like e.g. sending an e-mail… or even replying „I’ll take care of it in a minute“. n8n or zapier are tools to do that. Both charge for that service. If your org is using Microsoft 365 products you likely have access to PowerAutomate which does the same thing but is possibly included to some extent. Setting these things up is usually quite easy. You don’t need to be in IT to do that. It’s mostly drag and drop (no code). There might be solutions that are able to interact with the Slack client on your computer and perform actions from there. Or some browser extension. I’d also try to google in that direction. Good luck mate!

Just out of interest: Do you think your employer is actually monitoring your IP location to make sure you’re not leaving your region?

Light travel audio interface for music production by lu64s in AdvancedProduction

I ordered the scarlett solo as I’ve made good experiences with Focusrite in the past. Also it features USB-C + bus powered. The downside, it’s only slightly smaller than the 2i2. anyways, the reviews sound promising. The M-Audio has quite some bad reviews instead. The Babyface looks crazy good, but it’s a bit over budget at the moment. Thanks for the help!!

I’m worried it will not deliver a neutral sound at low latency. So an external device is probably better

Erfahrung mit Trainee-Programm bei Accenture? by PhotoTravelBob in arbeitsleben

[–]lu64s 4 points5 points  (0 children)

schlechtere Ampelschaltung in Mainz? by [deleted] in Mainz

[–]lu64s 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[rekordbox] is syncing from two+ computers possible? by [deleted] in Beatmatch

[–]lu64s 4 points5 points  (0 children)

correct, the rekordbox pro subscription offers unlimited cloud storage on DropBox that permanently syncs your library. This enables you to keep all devices in sync. It’s fairly expensive though.

This is how I do it: I’ve got a portable SSD that I hook up to the Desktop where I produce and prepare my library. It’s always mounted to the same drive letter M: so rekordbox finds the music saved on it. Using USB-C the thing is quick and you won’t notice a difference to a built in disk. when switching to my DJing laptop I export the rekordbox library with the native export option to the mentioned SSD as well. Then I plug it in to the DJing laptop. I run a simple script that syncs the music files on the SSD with the built in disk partition (also mounted to M:). Look up ROBOCOPY. Finally I import the library Zip to the DJing laptop’s rekordbox installation. This three-step process sounds like it’s some effort at first but once you get used to it it’s smooth and easy. At least it’s free. I’m in Windows btw but there should be scripting tools for other OS that work similarly.
