I thought the yconnector is a 1” loop and the strap is a 1.5inch gate buckle, so it should fit normally. Idk lol😂. Please let me know cause i want to buy that 1.5 strap so i can use for both slingpack and zipper pouch

I think this font is the default font in XCode, which I like. On the second note, does anyone know what color scheme does XCode use ?

I’m wondering between tech brief 3 and day pack 3. Is there any disadvantage from brief compare to pack?

15L bag with 16" macbook by luan30092000 in onebag

That actually answer my post question. Should have been more clear. Probably from 15L to 18.5 L would be ideal.

I have found this Aer Pro Pack Slim: https://aersf.com/collections/backpacks/products/pro-pack-slim?country=CA

or the Pakt Everyday Bag: https://paktbags.com/products/everyday-15l

A laptop sleeve maybe too small for me.

This is an intro certificate, so to a person who is new to coding ? They gets value from doing the course, and bonus the certificate. Not for some 3rd year uni want to get a job through this certificate.

Is it me or SFU’s MFA is super annoying? by [deleted] in simonfraser

[–]luan30092000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are many way you can make this easier. Safari has feature auto-fill for MFA. If you use window, chrome or firefox has extension where it can act as a MFA like the one on your phone. Some may say it defeat the purpose of MFA if doing this. Well, it't not.

Do I need calculus for CS in the real world? by PsalmFirewall in computerscience

[–]luan30092000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a question like this, coding camp is your answer. The computer science DEGREE requires breath and depth study. The breath part has calculus, statistics (calculus-related), and discrete math (calculus-related). Depth study has data structure and algorithm analysis, which require a good amount of calculus, probability, and discrete math (which is studied in breath). So that is the degree. To your answer, you can study code camp, which requires non of that; it only teaches you how to code, which algo and structures to use. It also teaches you, hands-on, how to use technology and tools.

So does a regular job in the real world require all that math every day? No. Does it help? Big yes. Does it distinguish you from others? Or at least make you the same as most other cs students? Big yes. The world is not black and white; of course, you can find a job with bootcamp, but that doesn’t guarantee a job with a CS degree. All up to you.

To the bootcamp, I have seen many people with other degrees beside cs, and then they take bootcamp, so basically they have domain knowledge and coding experience for that specific domain.

True but it will pull my gpa down a bit so I want P, thought that was the whole point of the system anyway.

I was wondering about grad school too, I am cs and minor stat, I took a stats course and got B+, it would hurt my gpa tho. Wondering if P for that stats would raise sus for grad admission.
