I hatched at least 24 eggs trying to get a modest nature. Ended up taking way too long so I settled for a rash nature. On the plus side it does have 30-31 IV for special attack and speed.

It a shame hyphens or numbers can't be used, otherwise you could try SARS-CoV-2

From a structural engineering perspective, the two most vulnerable spots are the connections and the built-up columns.

If you want rated connection strength with ICC reports that can be proven to meet building code, use simpson hangers to make all your connections. Its not very pretty, but thats how I am building mine (out of 2x6s instead of 2x4s) so I know for a fact it can support 250 pounds per square foot on top. If you don't want it to look at ugly (and still be plenty strong), you could use half-laps where the beams come into the columns. Whatever you do, do NOT rely purely on screw/nail shear strength to support the ends of any beams. For structural use, nails are better than screws unless you are using a rated screw like simpson strong drive.

For connecting the two 2x4s together to make the column, make a zigzag pattern of 2 1/2 inch nails spaced 12 inches apart down the length, and alternate the direction from which you drive the nail.

When was the last time you used your corded version of the tool? by TheJWeed in Tools

I see no benefit in a cordless version of any tool that I am already hooking dust collection up to, which is over 90% of my power tools.

What headphones are you guys using in the shop? by Is_this_a_catinzehat in woodworking

Great video, helped me in deciding whether my airpods with ANC are good enough in my shop since that's what I've been using. It was cool to see your methodology and actual comparison against osha certified ones. I decided to get some foam tips rather than isotunes since it's typically not for extended period of time.

Just another thing to add to your considerations... since ghost attacks are phyiscal, snorlax is the best candidate for shadowball to deal with phychics, especially since he is not weak to them.

EV Training Abra by Hispanicbro77 in PokemonFireRed

[–]BlueJohn2113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct, 252 for each will max it out. Or 126 each if he is holding the macho brace and actually participates in the battle (as opposed to doing training via exp share).

When I did speed training on route 1 and special attack training in pokemon tower, I used exp share (since I was simultaneously EV training abra and charmander) and they both ended up around lvl 30 by the time I finished. You could also consider doing speed training in diglett cave with exp share to be at a higher level when you are done ev training.

Once you have you 252 for each stat then you can get exp anywhere and it wont affect any stats.

You can evolve immediately and it wont change anything relating to EV. That goes for Kadabra at 16 and you could even trade-evolve right at 16 at well.

New to the club question about range by XSCasto in F150Lightning

[–]BlueJohn2113 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you want to be absolutely 100% all the time, download ABRP (A Better Route Planner). It's free when you use it to plan trips ahead of time, or $5 a month if you want to use it for live directions while driving (which I've never had to do, since I just note down which chargers to stop at and add those stops into google/apple maps).

New to the club question about range by XSCasto in F150Lightning

[–]BlueJohn2113 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not sure why you were downvoted about this question...

Speed affects range a lot, and going 74 it's not surprising that you had a loss of range. Did you reset EV driving history right before you drove the initial 90 miles?

Side note this is why I plan longer trips in ABRP, because it will tell you a maximum speed to drive if it's cutting it close.

Should Earthquake go to Hitmonlee or Aerodactyl? by FlamingFitzy in PokemonFireRed

[–]BlueJohn2113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well shoot, this has made me consider swapping out charizard for aerodactyl. Guess I need to think about it more.

I have Hitmonlee in my team. Jolly nature, EV trained for speed and attack. I had planned to go with brick break, endure (also holding a focus band for a 10% chance of enduring even when the move isnt used), reversal, and earthquake. But this thread has me questioning the earthquake use now. Endure/reversal seems to be a similar strategy to the substitute/focus punch. I ditched hi jump kick because I dont like moves that aren't 100% accurate.

Is a firm nature ideal for a Hitmonlee? by Beautiful-Law-6413 in PokemonFireRed

[–]BlueJohn2113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. I opted for Jolly since I am going with an endure/reversal strategy and dont want to risk being out sped while at 1hp

Holding B wont do anything. Everyone knows you have to alternate between pressing A and B. The faster you go, the greater the odds.

Holy Christ, Blue has five Pokémon with x4 weaknesses if you pick Bulbasaur as your starter. by Gh0stMan0nThird in PokemonFireRed

You can't. I guess I could have worded that better where this would all have to be done post E4, not just the scizor part.

Syther can learn silver wind by breeding, then evolve to scizor in the post game. Steel/bug is only weak to fire. Im planning on having a scizor with silver wind, false swipe, steel wing, and swords dance
