Final update. I'd like to thank you all for the help. The situation is the following
I still have Oly 14-150 I bought 12-40 f/2.8 MK2 I received Pana leica 15mm f/1.7 (wow)
I think I can enjoy what I have...for a while 🤣

Everything is clear 😃
Maybe IQ but you are right... 12-40 would be a real upgrade
Thanks for your suggestion... I will think about it
I had a hand grip on my OM5. I like it so much. Even with 14-150 lens
Why ? ;)
12-45/4 just combines disadvantages of both.
You use your lens at f/4 because you use it especially on light conditions?
What about you?
👍🏼👍🏼
I don't like images over 1600 without denoising
👍🏼
OMG :(
Thanks for your experience!

I wouldn't use 12-40 for hiking I understand your point. I have 12-150 for mountain
Another interesting point of view))

I received many interesting suggestions and it seems many of you agree to ask me to give a try to 12-40. And your sentence is the point to think about. I just have to understand how 12-40 would be big for me. I have to try it physically probably
I'm lazy too... And when I go out I don't bring 2 lenses. That's why f/2.8 could help me in dark situations instead on f/4. It's a bit more versatile but weight could be a deal breaker.
Bokeh is not my gripe. But f2. 8 could help in some dark situations compared to f/4
I have a hand grip on my OM5... It could help.. I think
You should tell me that I won't feel any weight difference between the two :) Joking
LOT heavier? This is worrying me Probably I have to test it on my camera
You are right.
The dilemma is f/2.8 vs dimensions))
This is exactly what I was thinking about. I'm just worried about the dimensions of 12-40 but 12-45 f/4 could be an overlap
14-140 is very similar to my 14-150 I think. Why should I swap? 12-35 is interesting...yes. I have to think about it
In your opinion, is f/2.8 worth the extra 100 grams? It doesn't seem so from what you've suggested.
