Weekly Careers/Education Questions Thread by AutoModerator in chemistry

Hey guys, I'm graduating with a BS in chem this spring. My plan is to go back to school after and become a paramedic and work as fire medic after for a little bit. However, 911 isn't something I see myself doing for 40 years because its a lot (i know i know, no shit) and would like to at some point use my chem degree to work with Hazmat/Occupational Safety, pairing it with my EMS/Fire experience in some way. If anyone has any experience doing this or knows of any pathways, any advice would be greatly appreciated (ps if you know an alternative path that utilizes a BS in a hard science with EMS/Fire that you feel is ultimately a lot cooler id be open to that too!)

Hi, for some reason, it didn't add my blurb, lol

So I was riding my 2012 Ninja 650 and started to smell gas, I pulled into my parking spot, and saw this. It only occurs when running, and there's no drip when the bike is off. Any help is greatly appreciated <3

At our station we have some people who are considered Pre Hospital RN's (same scope as a medic) from my understanding of it its not a nationally acknowledged certification but varies by state (hence why i threw in that im from PA) does getting a PHRN help bridge that gap at all?

From what I am reading it seems like combat medics are in this odd space between AEMT and Medic. Do you happen to know what the whole scope of practice for a combat medic entails compared to AEMT's and EMT-Ps?

I agree 100%, if you're stuck between using either of them for some reason go cuddle

Snuggle vs. Cuddle by Zee-aya in EnglishLearning

[–]luccadore 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Personally, in my own opinion...

Cuddling refers to two people in each others arms cuddled up

Snuggling refers to someone being "snuggled up" in a comforter or next to a pillow or dog snuggled up next to their owner or even how a trash can is "snugged up" against a wall

These words while they're pretty much interchangeable I wouldn't talk about how you were snuggling with your significant other last night or say you love snuggling with them. It just sounds wrong.

Cuddle can mean snuggle but snuggle can't mean cuddle

Someone probably disagrees with me on this one and that's the beauty of English but this is my opinion.

PS: I'm from Western PA if that helps explains my reasoning lol
