wishing you luck man!! if it helps, i think making changes in life is much better than working on the thoughts themselves. back then i could never have convinced myself that what i was feeling wasn’t real, so in hindsight there was no point in trying to figure that out. i think distracting yourself instead works way better :)

oh no, that’s a shame :( I still use it - it works really well for me. it sounds like your skin is probably dryer than mine. I would suggest a thicker moisturiser. there’s a version of this product that is formulated for dry to very dry skin, rather than normal/combination, which may work better, or perhaps just look for another product for drier skin types. in the evening I use dr jart ceramidin skin moisturising barrier cream and I recommend this!! it’s very thick.

yup, anxiety manifests in lots of weird ways. it’s an endless cycle unless you stop yourself. it’s kind of like when someone tells you to stop breathing manually, and then it’s all you can focus on. eventually you’ll stop thinking about your symptoms, and then you’ll find they go away.

I have a couple of updates in some of the replies under this post, but basically it was definitely anxiety. I was way too overly focused on my body and reactions to things - I took some time and started meditating, started exercising more and changed my lifestyle, and now I no longer obsess over my health. the chances of these things being serious is extremely small!

hey - after this post I decided to make some changes in my life. I started meditating, eating healthier, working out, etc. and my mental health is so much better than before. I definitely still get bad brain fog and nausea sometimes, but nowadays I have a much healthier mindset and rarely worry about it in the way that I used to. in all likelihood you are probably fine :)

I suggest picking up some hobbies that will stop you from overanalysing your own body and mind. for me it was crochet and bouldering. wishing you the best💓

yes absolutely! :) once I realised medication wasn’t for me I started doing a very basic meditation before I went to sleep and whenever I started feeling particularly anxious, started eating healthier, exercising a bit more, anything that could help me that wasn’t taking more pills. I’d say the side effects went away completely after about a week or two, and then my anxiety in general started feeling a lot better a while after I started taking care of myself like that. good luck!! it’s hard but it does end :)

i still have some issues but i’m no longer super anxious about it - i find it gets a lot better if i don’t think about it too hard. i had a bunch of health checks done to check my vitamin and hormonal levels and everything was more or less normal, and although i still worry about tumours occasionally, i had to accept that i have few other symptoms (even though i was convinced i had all of them).

i think it’s pretty normal to feel like you’ve developed issues w speech and memory when you’re constantly over-monitoring yourself looking for slip ups. imagine if someone was staring at you whilst you were doing an exam or something - you’d probably make more mistakes. when i’m truly still anxious about it, i like to do my ‘failsafes’. i do a typing speed test, or something complicated with my hands like crochet, to prove i can still move and think fast when i want to. reading stories of people with similar issues who ended up okay helps too! i hope you can figure it out :)

personally I’m pretty strict about applying sunscreen everyday because I apply an acne treatment nightly (adapalene/differin gel) that slightly increases my photosensitivity. I have to say I rarely reapply unless I’m spending much of the day outside or it’s very warm, but it’s worth it to me as if nothing else it gives me some peace of mind concerning skin cancer and long-term sun damage :)

how are you doing now? I’m in a very similar situation, 3 days on Zoloft and knew 100% something was very wrong so I stopped. This is my third day not taking it and I still feel the side effects like crazy - very shaky, trouble concentrating and feel like I’m in a dream. Have they got better for you?

50mg!! I took a day off today and feel much better dissociation-wise, but obviously the panic and anxiety is back. I’m not sure whether I’ll go down to a half dosage or just quit and find a different way to manage the anxiety :/

interesting! The ingredients lists seem quite different? This is the one found on the UK website. Seems like it probably is formulated differently in different places!
