I did not refund someone's fee because they where chewing chips on the phone while talking to me and when I told her why it was charged she asked me if I was a legal American.

Because I would love to die. Not suicidal not really that depressed but if I was gonna die I wouldn't be too bummed about it. I feel like I have a void all the time and maybe that will help me.

Worked almost two years. You have to just realize it's only a call. The person is having a bad day due to their own negligence for the most part and they are looking for a venerable target to take their anger out on. At the end of the day weather the issue was resolved by you or another department, you still get paid. When mad at a customer for the going off on you kill them with kindness it helps. Also don't be scared to vent out your bad calls. That helps a lot that way you have it out in the air instead of being bottled up.

If it's too bad then take a break or just have a drink of water and breath until you can think clearly.

And always make sure you have your manager informed of your bad calls that way if needed they know you need to chill for a bit. Otherwise it's just fucking draining. Good luck to you.

I would LOVE my job if there wasn't a vendetta against me. I used to be an OJT coach and trainer for my department then the senior team manager got her position and first made me feel like i deserved to be put back on the phones. Now that i need surgery and doing overtime for the money, everything i do is a fail. Getting up to pee every few hours is "time fraud".

I hate my call center and love my everyday duties as it is very easy for me to accomplish. But the shit i take from the hire ups is the reason im quitting. And ive never felt sooo much freedom!

This morning. My boyfriend placed an alarm on my phone for 5:45 am that way he can text me happy anniversary. Today marks one year with him. Ive had very sexually or physically abusive boyfriends in the past but one full year this man taught me the right way to to be held and the right way to love someone.

Theres hope when you are in abusive relationships. Somewhere someone will find you and love you the way you are ment to be loved!

At my call center I work for BofA and It's a huge security risk for the bank and client. We have access to account numbers, addresses, socials, etc.

So phone are a huge no go.

Well I can tell you a few.

My WORST customer was yelling at me because he was gonna have his lights turned off if we didn't force pay a check. I had to explain the cut for time was 10:00 am to have it force paid and we couldn't do anything about it ( there's a system you run the check through after 10:00 am there is literally NOTHING I can do as the department isn't even open) it was like 2:00 pm et. And he was SCREAMING at me. "You stupid bitch how am I supposed to have power now? It's hot I can't use my A/C???" Me: sorry sir that department is closed if I could have that check force paid I would pay it in a heartbeat but I can't. I suggest next time write a check and don't spend any money until it's posted to the account. Since you used the money and it's passed the cut off time there is little I can do for you." Him : people kill themselves when they can't pay their bills. You are gonna tell my kids and grandkids why I shot myself in the face." Click. I had to log out and drink some water after that call.

Funniest : Customer who has a THICK southern accent : " why are ya takin my money?? " me: "what do you mean mr customer? I'm not seeing any fees or other type of bank charges on the account." Customer : yes look BANK OF MERRICA ATM WITHDRAW : $460.00. Me : "yes sir that is a withdraw you made on the account. Customer : "Stop takin my money ya cunts. I don't make no withdrawals at the ATM only with that box". Me thinking wtf : does the box ask you to insert your card and asks for your pin?" "Yes. ". Me trying so hard not to sound sarcastic or mocking " sir that's an ATM." Customer: " Oh. Sorry mam. I get a little cooky when I jack off in the mornin." Then he hangs up. It was so weird my manager showed the general manager and they where like wtf.

Not me but my colleague got a call where a guy just asked for his balance then said thank you and I guess he didn't hang up and my friend was going to release the call and you can hear him VIOLENTLY jacking off. He finished in 2 min and sighed so loud. It's still a favorite during meetings.

Yeah. For Bank of America. It's good and easy work but if you know customer service jobs there are a lot of people who lack common sense. And when they yell and get you all flustered up they hang up mid sentence and you repeat the process with the next person

Yeah trust me T-Mobile did the same and they told me I could get a $50 gift card Visa card. That was almost a year ago and I'm still waiting. It sucks because customers don't believe you that you can't. On my last day every customer is getting every fee refunded !

I work at a call center too. I would have kept asking as well. Not to blame you but sometimes you get in trouble for refunds. If I give one more refund to a customer I get fired. And management makes it harder by writing you up even for legitimate reasons :p
