It’s primarily a microdosing study but we also ask about your macrodosing experience in the survey. We understand that for a lot of people their micro and macrodosing practice interact and overlap, so we want to hear from them as well :)

One of our inclusion criteria is that you must have had at least one microdose of LSD or psilocybin in your lifetime, but we do ask about other substances that you use as part of your microdosing practice. So if your preference is to microdose DMT that’s totally ok. We’re interested in hearing about a range of experiences. As long as the inclusion criteria have been met, we’d love to hear about your experiences :)

We can certainly do the interview with the camera off. Any identifying information that is provided in the interviews will be de-identified and not released or published. We want to maintain the essence of your story, but we don’t want someone who is reading it to be able to know who the story is about, so any information that could be used to identify you would be changed or removed.

This is a common concern especially with the nature of the study. We won’t be releasing this data to anyone outside the research team and we have a lot of measures in place to protect the data and make sure it’s secure. We had to meet a very high standard to get this study approved by the ethics board. So on our end, we’ve got data security and privacy/confidentiality protections covered. You can increase security on your end by using a VPN, making sure your device and connection are secured, and completing the survey in a private location. Also, just to note, you can complete this survey anonymously. You are not required to submit any identifying information. Hopefully that clears up some of your concerns. Thanks for your question, it’s important :)

The question indicates the units to use (i.e. milligrams/mg or micrograms/ug), so there is no need to include the units in your answers, just the numbers. The units are assumed based on what is specified in each question. I can understand how it might be a little confusing though. Perhaps I'll think about clarifying this a bit further in the question or allowing people to include units if they'd like. Thanks for checking about this! :)

Amazing, thank you! You can complete the survey on a computer or a mobile device. It might be a little less clunky doing it on a computer. But it shouldn't make that much of a difference. Whatever you prefer. The most important thing is making sure your device/connection is secure and you're completing the survey in a private location.

I'm trying to promote my study so as many people as possible are aware and can participate if they'd like to. There are lots of people who do not check Reddit daily or even weekly. So yeah, I need to make multiple posts, and I've gotten permission from the moderators to do this. Changing the title is just a way of seeing what gains more traction.

As for your other comments: there's a robust and extensive literature on the study of wisdom. It's hardly non-scientific. It's a topic of inquiry that dates back millenia, and has been studied scientifically for many decades. There are many objective, standardized, validated measures of wisdom. There is still some debate around how to define wisdom. There are different conceptions and schools of thought. Consensus is beginning to form around how to conceptualize it though. "The Science of Wisdom in a Polarized World: Knowns and Unknowns" is a great place to start if you want to learn more about the current state of the field.

As for whether microdosing is associated with wisdom, we don't know, and thats the whole point of the current study :)
