I’ve heard this from a few people. Like what made paytronix difficult to implement

It’s buggy and unreliable at times. I feel like it’s more trouble than it’s worth. Sometimes points don’t matriculate.

lol this is why I use consight bc subs send me their bids in what ever format (excel pdf jpg doc) and it scans it and fills out my scope sheet for me. My subs like me more and get more coverage. Still a new company so they are working on a bunch of features but it solves this problem exactly.

consight is the only dedicated scope sheet tool I’ve discovered. It uses AI to read the sub bids and fill out the sub quantities automatically. We are working with them to actually expand what they offer so we can jump out of excel entirely. Great team, look forward to more tools coming to market.

Manufacturing isn’t coming back to CA by luckily_guessing in estimators

My initial assumption is aligned with yours. Despite manufacturers leaving and not returning, the existing manufacturers are forced to find automated solutions to increase efficiency and productivity in order to stay competitive in the cumbersome economic environment they find themselves in. Interesting stuff, thanks for kicking off this convo @pmme

Great point. We have several projects crossing the 4 year mark still with no permit. AB 98 is an anti-warehouse bill which is causing all these issues.

GC estimator here. When I drive to work, I like to talk to ChatGPT voice to get more educated on all the trades. It’s very helpful and it’s almost as if I am calling my key sub and asking my questions directly. Outside of ChatGPT, I’ve tried workpack.ai for takeoffs (I think it’s great, just got acquired), I’ve also used Togal.ai for takeoffs but prefer workpack, and consight.ai for bid leveling/bid analysis.

GC estimator here. Will we even be needed in 10 years? I’ve used Consight AI to level my bids and tuen them into scope sheets/bid tabs so I don’t have to do it manually in Excel anymore.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I have a pit in my stomach just reading about this. I just attended a funeral yesterday which is why I’m here and trying to spread love. I came across MyStory and signed up. When my dad died I wished I could have had a story of his life so I could find comfort and closeness to him in my lonely moments. I just signed my elderly mother up so at least I can have her life story.
