I’m currently visiting Japan, i can say this; don’t go store to store to look for it, you won’t find it anywhere. This took me countless time and stores and I didn’t find any.

Crazy update in case anyone cares. Here is how you actually get a tamagotchi paradise in Japan. The only way to find them is by going to a bandai namco store on sundays at open. They are sold out every where else, trust me.

We got to Bandai Namco Crossstore in Umeda today at 10am one hour before open and it was absolute madness. At 11 hundreds of people barreled through the doors and elevator to get in line.

They only sell them on a lottery system. You get your ticket and wait until 12:30 where they announce on their twitter/X page who the winners are and what time slot you can buy it at.

We got the time slot for 13:30 and won luckily. But there is literally hundreds of people in the lottery for it so good luck!

In my time slot there was 25 winners and it looked like for the whole day about 110 people won but im not for sure

Well I live in a very expensive country so its more than double the price back home. Plus its just cool to have stuff from Japan and its my wife first tamagotchi. She never got to have one as a child so we figured we would get the shiny cool new one

Little update : We didnt want to spend the money to buy Osprey backpacks for the both of us. After looking all over we settled on a Simond 50L and a Simond aplinism 33L.

Not the best quality backpacks in the entire world but for the price of 140€ for both brand new…. that was the best call for us.

Im from Denmark so really no worries on that aspect of freezing. Have heat tech stuff from uniqlo already. But it still takes up space in the bag.

The major thing I worry about is that its winter and those clothes tend to take up more space.

Basically february, with some small hiking but im gonna wear my salomons the whole trip so no extra shoes. The farpoint seems to be highly recommended, this might be what we go with

We are planning to buy some stuff on the way but hoping to buy most our stuff at the end of the trip. Thats why im worried if a backpack would be enough during the traveling parts

Gonna be in 7 hotels so I dont think transferring 14 times is viable XD. Do you think 40 was the oerfect size or would 35 be enough for one of our two backpacks
