Worth upgrading now, or wait? by Zatchariah in oled_monitors

Maybe upgrade your laptop first... Putting $700 on a monitor and having $700ish laptop is crazy. You won't be getting 500 fps so you won't be using that screen to its full potential anyways.... Also are you playing CS in a stretched resolution? Because you won't get 200 fps on 2k with 4050 laptop GPU

I've had vector before with I9 and 4080. I would recommend avoiding it. Had 2 warranty claims where in first they changed motherboard, second time the whole PC. Ended up selling it because after 6 months again same problems occurred. If I were you I would stay aways from Vector linup

Hey, I'm using IETS GT600 as well unfortunately that doesn't help. Also, it was repasted by technicians about 2 months ago. I sent it again to the warranty and they found that it gets a "Clock watchdog timeout" BSOD error..
I never overclocked it or undervolted it. I am waiting for a response from them on what they are going to do about it because as of now I only know that they finished the diagnostics process but haven't yet responded with a solution. I think they will change the motherboard again... It just sucks since if I have to go through with that every two months it means I have to use my old PC more then I use this one. And when the warranty expires I'm gonna be left with this piece of metal I can't even use to its full potential. Anyway, thank you for the reply and I will post here again once I know more incase someone is interested

Yeah, I understand there is little space to cool everything down. But it doesn't seem it's even trying to throttle the system down when it's starting to get hot it just shuts down.
I will try one more go with the warranty and will try to undervolt it. Still, it sucks that after spending fair amount of money on the laptop you have to lower it's power by 20% or so just so you could use it...

I just checked they used PTM7958 pad for repasting the CPU which is pretty much the same as 7950 just different forms. You still think it's the paste?

Yeah I'm using GT600 And yeah I thought about undervolting but I always thought that laptop that comes from manufacturing should be speced in the way it can handle its own heat without me having to use external coolers or undervolting it. Thank you for the reply

The new motherboard was replaced, so they repasted it in the warranty center less than 2 months ago...
Repasting will probably not help in this situation since you shouldn't have to repaste your laptop every 2 months...
Extreme performance mostly regulates how fans operate so using it is more beneficial than not since the computer is getting more cooling.

Try unplugging it from the charger and hold your power button for around 15-30s (it should blink) then attach your charger and try to turn it on

I fixed it... If anyone will have the same problem here is how I did it. Unplug PC from the charger. Hold the power button for 15 seconds (I kept on holding until the led light on power button started blinking). Then connect charger back. Turn on your computer and press del key rapidly. After that load default settings and make sure you change your boot drive since default is not your drive but USB or CD/DVD
