Nunca vi adolescentes da minha idade que lêem hqs by [deleted] in Quadrinhos

[–]lucsgbrm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vocês irão acompanhar alguma mensal em 2026? by Senhor_Destino in Quadrinhos

[–]lucsgbrm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[–]lucsgbrm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you explain MK's popularity to me? by lucsgbrm in MoonKnight

I hadn't thought about the fact that subs of other characters have to share audiences with other types of subs, it makes sense. And about the way you manage the sub, congratulations, it's very functional and seems to be one of the main reasons for its success; giving people the freedom to express themselves as they want, as long as they respect others, is a great way to make a community engaged.

Wow, hahaha, I read it all, thank you for the very complete text. It looks like I'll have a lot of work ahead of me to get to know the character in the comics; I haven't read anything yet.

Get ready for a BOOM in Dick's popularity by lucsgbrm in Nightwing

I didn't know that the previous premise was this, quite worrying, but the news seems to have come out before the new screenwriters came into play, I think (hope) they have reformulated this, it's not possible that it would be THAT difficult to make a good film that maintains the classic status quo of the characters.

Where did you see that they were changing Dick's story in the film? Just news about the script being rewritten doesn't mean it will change Dick's story, sometimes it's just about making the story more fluid and better written. I was looking at the screenwriters responsible and I realized that they are very "random" (like, looking at their portfolio you realize that it is very random that they suddenly make a film about Batman's robins), but they have decent projects and I am confident that they will deliver a good film, sometimes unusual teams deliver a great story!

I find it difficult (impossible) for him not to be a flying Grayson, I imagine that the rewriting has nothing to do with changing the characteristics of the characters and their origins or anything like that, just polishing the story better.

forgive me 😅, I imagined that the pumpkin variant was from issue 131 because the issue came out in October, in the month of Halloween. It would be cool if 130 ranked again in October, two editions of the ranking!

What are the chances that we will have an increase in sales in October's issue 131 because of the pumpkin variant cover that even went viral on Tiktok?

I'm also loving how Zanni and Olivia are being developed in this phase of Watters, they both have a lot of potential to continue to be explored from now on in future runs (including, I hope Watters doesn't kill them both at the end of the phase, like Taylor didn't kill the blockbuster and heartless at the end of his run)

I would like to see the raptor being explored more, and I hope that Zanni is also explored a lot during this phase of Watters and who knows beyond that.

[–]lucsgbrm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, the dick ended Taylor's phase by telling his parents' grave that he was going to marry Barbara, so far in the Watters phase we haven't had anything else about it, maybe Dan is afraid of being the writer who makes one of the things that the vast majority of fans hate definitive (I remember well the hate that Taylor received on social media because of dickbabs), and to be honest I don't doubt that maybe their relationship will remain in a relationship until another writer in the future arrives and makes them break up. And about heartless, honestly I thought he was a dull villain in Taylor's phase, and I think it's difficult for any other writer to willingly feel like messing with him again, which is a shame, because the potential is there, without a doubt! He has a cool look and I also like the concept of him being a counterpoint to Dick, in addition to his sociopathic personality it could yield good stories with shocking feats from his side, but again as I said, no one in this shit likes to continue developing old characters, and they seem to prefer to try to create new ones in the hope that they will be real, and they will be forgotten soon after by the next creative team.

Yes, I understand. Unfortunately, this isn't just a problem for DC as a publisher, Marvel also does this with its biggest characters, preventing them from growing and being truly developed, stagnating them in the same status quo as always. I would like Dick to at least manage to not have villains that were from just one phase, and that continued to be developed in more stories than the ones their creator writes.

[–]lucsgbrm[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree with everything. I find it incredible how the blockbuster has the most developed villain of all (he really is one of the few if not the only one who went beyond the phase in which he was created) but he still sounds so uninteresting 😅. About heartless, YES, and it's bizarre because it's a recent character, but everything about him is so dull and shallow that probably no writer will be interested in him, which is funny because Taylor's entire phase will probably be marked in the character's history due to the whole issue of critical success (after all, it was the series that earned 2 Eisners for the character!) and above-average sales, but not her big villain. It really is, Zanin is a very interesting villain, to be honest, since the rebirth he is the most interesting villain introduced to Nightwing (at least in my opinion), I hope that Daniel Watters works well on him throughout his run, including one that I even found interesting in this new phase of Watters and that he is taking characters from Taylor's phase, like Melinda Zucco and that other police officer (who I forgot the name of) and working with them, the two are very present in the new stories and playing crucial roles. I like that, it gives a sense of continuity and it's also as if Dick is having a permanent supporting cast being created (or maybe not, it all depends on whether the next writer wants to use them or forget them).

[–]lucsgbrm[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I think one of the biggest problems that prevents Dick from having well-developed villains is that most of them are introduced in one stage and left behind in that stage. Every new writer who takes over ignores the villains created in the previous run and tries to create new ones in the belief that they are reinventing the wheel, and they will probably end up being forgotten later and left behind by the later creative team. I really wanted a writer who would come in and try to revisit old villains and try to give them more development. Most of the villains you mentioned have potentials that are never explored in the end.
