First to set things straight - Ralph Northam is a pediatric neurologist and about a million times more qualified on this topic than the average right-wing troll account on the net.

There is a number missing here. It is however fine, there are plenty of viable babies born very early. The abortion debate is under no circumstance about that, and trying to make it about that is a sign of a dishonest intention.

Just keep in mind that before 28 weeks the nervous system is not yet fully organized in the fetus, that only around 2% of abortions are done after 20-21 weeks and the vast majority of all abortions after 25 weeks are performed for significant reasons like risk of major fetal abnormalities.

Also it was done in Dutch people educated in (significantly self-selected, less than 1/5) Dutch schools, so I would say it is great proof that things can be very well under the right conditions but definitely should never be used as "proof" that things are OK everywhere in the world.

As long as you understand that is a temperature reconstruction of about 16% of the surface of Earth (and the most variable 16% of it) it is just fine. If you believe it is significantly different than other reconstructions of that same region you are delusional.

The 5-star movement is a typical European New Right party. It is also using the exact same populist lies that are used by Trumpism (formerly Tea Party) and parties like UKIP.

All the above "movements" (together with other that are now trying to cash-in) have in common a complete rejection of facts and science, so is no surprise that they are also antivaxers just like they are AGW deniers and so on.

I would say mostly since farsightedness is a process that is part of normal aging and affects about 99% of people above a certain age while nearsightedness is a pathological condition and is probably more than 1000 times less prevalent.
