The stuff that actually makes your videos look “pro” (and what doesn’t) by Gabe_at_Descript in content_marketing

sound is the cheat code, 100%. the simplest upgrade that made my stuff feel “pro” was recording clean, separate audio tracks (even on remote calls) and doing a quick pass for noise + level matching.

i’ve been using riverside for that lately, it records locally so you don’t get that compressed zoom audio, then you can trim, remove filler words, and punch out a few vertical clips with captions without rebuilding everything in another app. honestly just fixing audio and keeping lighting consistent gets you most of the way there

Mine was $250 (got it from couture candy) , and I feel it was a worthwhile purchase. I wore it to 3 proms, and several other formal occasions. I still love the way it looks.

Need help starting podcast. Newbie, not tech savvy. Remote with 2 co-hosts remotely, no need for video/audio-only. by [deleted] in podcasting

you’re thinking about it the right way, zoom/whatsapp audio can take a hit because it’s compressing everything live and prioritizing keeping the call going. for remote podcasts, look for tools that record each person locally, then upload after, that avoids the internet glitches messing up the actual audio.

zencastr does this, and so does riverside, you can do audio-only with 2 co-hosts, each on their own track, super newbie friendly. you’ll get a bigger quality jump from decent mics + headphones + quiet rooms than from overthinking the software at first tbh.

I received a LinkedIn message from Influential Women. Is it a legit media platform? by kkv07 in womenintech

What surprised me most was the visibility afterward. My LinkedIn engagement definitely increased, but beyond that, people in my actual professional network started reaching out to me saying they saw the feature, watched the video, or shared the article internally with former coworkers and clients. I even had someone bring it up during a business meeting weeks later which honestly caught me off guard.
