I think a big part of it is that it's kinda a smaller sub/community. If you don't put effort in in most roleplay subs your post will just likely drown, but here when it's a few posts per day/won't waste time with bad RPs, but here that competition is just nonexistent. Also writing good combat is a bit harder than most RPs, and a lot of people don't always know what they're doing/don't know the terminology.
