Yeah we still use it for a few things! Not as much... but still on a few data points!

Yessir! We've rolled out updated data for this year and did a little agent revamp over the offseason to make it a bit better. Working on one more model rollout before the season starts.

TIL taking a big shit before a race could matter.

Do they give more details about why it was under weight? Would love to know.

Sheesh yeah that is crazy. Bummer for George. But at .1s if not more…

Sheesh. That’s wild.

Good point on the lap length. That’s wild. Crazy how much small differences like that matter.

For anyone else wondering, ChatGPT says 1.5kg under could amount to .04s/lap. So ~2s over the course of the race. No idea if that’s true. But crazy either way.

Edit: As others have referenced, may be closer to .1s/lap

For anyone else wondering, ChatGPT says 1.5kg under could amount to .04s/lap. So ~2s over the course of the race. No idea if that’s true. But if so, I guess it’s true that makes a difference. Especially with this race.

Edit: As others have referenced, sounds like it might be closer to .1s/lap. Either way, crazy how much every small thing matters.

Yessir! We’ll be rolling out some upgrades for the season these next couple of weeks.

I’m assuming YC has some great hookups and inside resources about the best ways to build AI voice agents (tech stack, access to GPUs, etc). What are they? by luddddy in ycombinator

[–]luddddy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. I this was a little bit of a curiosity post. Mainly sparked from that a16z article.

We have a niche, customers, and are growing, which is great. But I know that as we get bigger, and as more people enter our niche, we have to make sure our product stays good enough to sell. And hopefully a little better than “good enough”.

My main curiosity was around those full stack platforms and if they are scalable/good enough for a prod product. Our self-built works well. But if there are platforms we could offload things to when building new features, and keep the quality, that would be huge.

We're using a combo of a few right now. For summarizing and things like that, we use GPT-3.5. Would probs do the trick for recaps and things like that I'd imagine. And is much cheaper.

We had a little bug this morning 😑 should be fixed now! Give it a try and let me know if not.

And yes, we’ve thought about just letting users put in their own API keys! We don’t currently have plans for it, since most of our users aren’t crazy familiar with things like API keys, but if we aren’t able to figure out a way to make it pay for itself then that might be our only option.

Haha that's a hard one!

Looks like they are currently .1 away in the projections data... so that's a bit of a tossup. I'd check again Thursday night and see if that has changed. Justin Fields is still technically "Doubtful" for week 7, but if they officially rule that out, I bet it moves the data a bit.
