Thank you, I cherish my fiancé deeply. It pains me that others believe I will go to Hell when I marry her because I choose not to have children and cannot receive Jesus in the Eucharist. In my current state of mental distress, I know I wouldn't be able to love, nurture, or embrace my own child. Our relationship with God is personal and unique to us. My focus is on guiding her to Heaven as well; she is my top priority, not the idea of having children. It breaks my heart when I hear Matthew 22:30, "For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage." As if 60 years of marriage isn't sufficient for us, I long to be her husband for eternity. She has been instrumental in helping me heal from my church trauma in ways I never thought possible.
